By law, anyone who “sells, designs, installs, maintains, alters, repairs or services an irrigation system” or “connects an irrigation system to a private or public, raw or potable water supply system” is required to hold a license issued by the TCEQ. (See Water Code, Chapter 37 and Occupations Code, Chapter 1903, Irrigators).

“The correct practice of irrigation as a science and profession is essential for the protection and conservation of the water resources of the state and should be conducted by individuals who are held to the highest ethical standards.” (Landscape Irrigator’s Rule Compilation, TCEQ, July 2015)

A licensed Landscape Irrigator is educated in and tested on stringent irrigation design standards and laws, including proper backflow protection, hydraulics (i.e. pressure loss, flow, velocity, pipe sizing, etc.), and water conservation practices. Many municipalities have additional permitting and inspection requirements that must be adhered to by irrigators and homeowners alike.

Therefore, it is essential for your protection as well as that of your community to only deal with reputable licensed irrigators for all of your sprinkler system projects.

Our License and Qualifications

Sprinkler Pros operates under the license of Lisa Robbins, Licensed Irrigator (LI#23376).

Honest, professional, and fast. I really appreciate Lisa teaching me how to turn off the water at the backflow valve over the phone to keep from wasting money. Charles, Andrew, and Justin took the time to explain the system and all our options to us. We will definitely call them again when we change our landscaping or need assistance.
